Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship-2007
Offered by the Commonwealth Secretariat, UK to permanent faculty members working in recognised universities, institutions or colleges including medical institutions for the academic year 2007. Duration of the fellowship is six months. Each fellowship provides approved airfare to the UK and return on expiry of the fellowship, research support grant, personal maintenance allowance, grant towards the expenses of preparing reports and other written work, an initial arrival allowance and grant for expenses for app roved travel,
Requirements: Citizens of India, hold a doctorate degree awarded before October 1, 2002, have at least two years experience as a staff member of the nominating university or similar institution in India. In the field of medicine and dentistry have been appointed to a consultant or equivalent post before October 1, 2002. Available to commence their fellowship in the UK by October 1, 2007.
To apply: Prescribed form available in all university level institutions or UGC Headquarters (IC-ll, Room No 504, University Grants Commission, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi-110002) or UGC regional offices. Apply in the prescribed format duly nominated by vice chancellor or head of the institution addressed to section officer at the address above.
